I hope a whole bunch of people participate this week, so i'm picking a topic in which i think almost everyone can relate to.

FRIENDSHIP


So many times I have needed you
So many times you've been there
Though you are not always the same person
You are always there to care

I hope that I too can be for you
Everything you have been for me
And that I am always supportive
When you need to lean on me

My life would be so difficult
Without the help of friends
To share my good and bad times
And leave me with a grin

So to my friends, which ever you be
I raise a glass to toast
You are the greatest people on earth
The ones I cherish the most

Friendship Is A Word

Friendship.
Could this word be over-rated?
Over-trusted?
Could you give into the weakness of believing someone fully just to say you have that certain friendship that everyone is look for.
That you've truly found someone who actually knows you inside and out?
Friendship is just a word.
A word that so many don't know the meaning of...just like the word love.
A word that so many don't care what the meaning is.
A word that so many don't live by.
Friendship is just a word.
Friendship is just a word that gives people a chance to hurt you.
A word that gives people the chance to get inside your heart, and burn it.

I want to say "sure, I have friends"
But with what I just said I think I'd be degrading how much they mean to mean...

...But friendship is a word.
A word that so many DO know the meaning of...just like the word love.
A word that so many DO care what the meaning is.
A word that so many DO live by.
Friendship is a word that gives people the chance to support you.
A word that gives people the chance to get inside your heart, and embrace it.
So, I DO have friends.

MY NEW BESTFRIEND

Today i met a great new friend
who new me right away
it was funny how she understood
all I had to say

She listen to my problems
she listened to my dreams
we talked about love and life
she'd been there too it seems

I never once felt judged by her
she knew just how i felt
she seem to just accept me
and all the problems I'd been delt

She didn't interupt me
or need to have her say
she just listened very patiently
and didnt go away

I wanted her to understand
how much this ment to me
but as i went to hug her
something starteled me

I put my arms infront of me
and went to pull her near
and realized that my new bestfriend
was nothing but a mirror.

yeah i know that it disqaulifys me from this contest but hey i thought it was appropreate for the topic and it was funny
