Fingers Crossed

Author: Clive B Ringshall
You sleep here by my side so warm,
I see your innocents so bright,
Your looks I love,
Your silhouetted body shines from the moonlit night,
I look at you more, each look I see you more,
Your beauty radiates keeping me warm in day or night,
To say I love you never satisfies my need,
To convey my love could never be right,
I’ll try each day; till you ask me no more, why?
When we’re together we look so neat,
A couple for years we appear to be,
Complimenting each other daily,
Look a cute couple pass; must be love,
To many times I let you pass alone,
Never taking you by the hand walking side by side,
One day I took my chance,
Kiss you to show my desire for you,
Back for more must have been right,
Time passes by relationship grew,
You spoke the words I say everyday,
I heard them clear; and smiled from ear to ear,
Yes I said it you replied,
I carried on not forgetting my hope,
You in my life my bed permanent
