Odd Girl Out
8 June, 2005
Author: Casey
She poured her heart out to the rain
But nothing could get rid of the pain
She tried so hard to ignore the remarks
But she was so lost and alone in the dark
What made her friends turn so cruel?
To make her look so much like a fool
They called her so many foul names
They were playing such a horrible game
She chopped off her hair because of her anger
Her classmates had put her in grave danger
But the girls at school only got worse
Yet something inside her finally burst
All the lies and rumors just had to end
Even though she would still have no friends
She spotted some pills lying around
She soon got dizzy and fell to the ground
Her mother rushed her to the ER
While she wished upon a star
This didn’t change her friend’s evil ways
They still teased her for many days
She arrived back at school, with rumors floating around
But now inside her, courage she had found
She stood up to her enemy, her best friend
She would no longer follow this trend
She told her off, in all her fury
The other girl started to worry
But nothing could heal all the pain
No more would she cry out in the rain
For a new friend she had found
Who pulled her out of the ground
And helped her find
The courage inside
