Living On The Streets
9 June, 2005
Author: Casey
She was lost
And all alone
With no home
And no where to go
She often dreamed
Of fancy things
While living on
These filthy streets
She had no friends
But many enemies
No one to help her
In times of need
She hasn't eaten
For many days
Her fragile body
Is fading away
As she lays down
In the cold
The clouds in the sky
Start spitting snow
Now she lays here
Starving to death
As she sleeps
She takes her last breath
She will no longer suffer
At the age of seven
For her dreams came true
When she moved to heaven

Casey (67.63.107.67) -- Saturday, April 9 2011, 11:28 am Please disregard my previous comment about using this poem. There are situations where I don't want this poem to be used. I'm sorry I missed the chance to reply to the two users above, but if anyone has similar questions, here are my answers. Simno Clarke: Sorry, but the answer is no. For a school project I believe you should create your own poems rather than using one that belongs to someone else. Sarah Ranger: Yes, this poem can be used for assemblies, but please give me the appropriate credit. This is one of my better poems and I'm quite fond of it. If anyone has another situation where they would like to use it, please leave a comment and I will try to get back to you in time. Thanks! |
