Escape From The Haze
11 June, 2005
Author: Pondering Red
and the heat started
early-
seeping in
through slanted blinds-
insidious-
through hazy city streets-
faster than the sun
still hiding
over clouds of toxic mist.
long branches of house plants-
twittering swaying
in artificial winds of fans
slow dragging energy outside.
not aware of ways
to express my self-
to convey my thoughts of us-
to you
and
silences
filter
through these rooms
faster
than the
twirling fans - my head spinning.
heat seems to move the branches
outside
a bright white silvery sky
glares
its warning-
its plan to cover the city
with stagnant heat
and permeate through
every building - every pore
and i need a plan too
with you.
soon comes
summers
possibilities
of entertainment and
easyness and
its traveling excitement.
soon
i need to know
the prospect of possibilities
for me - for you
alone or together-
for awhile
or for longer.
this humid haze starts to settle-
a tangerine glow
spreads through these rooms-
casts
a luminescence
and creates design
upon
design.
emerging forms of clarity
take shape
merging forms -
hope for me and you.
