Sitting Amongst The Family

Sitting amongst the family
Enjoying a movie or two
Daughter is getting bored
Husband is having a brew
The dogs at my feet are scratching
Getting rid of their winter coat
Husband changes the channel again
I just want to take over the remote
A slow going Sunday afternoon
Waiting for the weekend's Nascar race
Longing for something to do in the mean time
Something to fill time's empty space
