i had a dream last night
as i do every night
i had a dream
of you last night

i never wanted it ,to ever end
i felt the softness of your touch
as i lay there thinkin' of you
while we spoke on the phone

i try to discipline my heart
with the love that it has for you
i try to pretend that your not many states away
by placing you here layin' right next to me

i always feel the warmth of your body
pressed against mine
i feel our sparks that causin'
the cities lights to flicker
and burn with passion and desire

i try to fulfill our need
by dreamin' you home with me
i try so hard with all the passion
that sits in my heart
to squeeze you out from my dream

so real so sweet
the touch of love
that is shared by you and me

for now i know
that's all we have
until you come home to me

i'll continue to have a never endin' dream
of you every night
i want you, i need you, i love you, i wait for you

one night close by
that dream will be
a dream,
come true
because of this love
i share with you
