2nd Place
14 June, 2005

Getting 2nd place
Doesn’t always feel great
It might be a race
To me, it’s second rate
I’ve been there before
Down that road
It comes more and more
It’s a familiar road
It’s not a race
It’s not a sport
Just looking for a place
In my sister’s heart

Meridian (152.163.100.197) -- Wednesday, June 15 2005, 05:17 pm I thought this was a poem about a race, or a competition. Being 2nd place in any family members life is indeed terrible. It doesn't feel good when kin behave toward you as if you were a stranger. Breathtaking poem! |
