Moonlight Fantasies

Author: The Unrequited Dream
In the dawn of a new moon, I see
Images of us, you and me.
Lying under the velvet sky, the stars twinkling
Before our eyes
With only eachother at our sides.
An open field with tall, swaying grasses
And flower blooms blowing in the breeze
Where a game of tag ensues.
A moonlit meadow with trees and bushes dense
And a special clearing seemingly made for us -
What precious moments would be spent there!
On a front poorch swing during a thunderstorm
Lightening burning the night time sky
Rain blowing in on us, but we wouldn't notice a thing.
Oh how amazing moonlight can be,
What it can make you do - what it can make you see...
