My Last Will And Testament
23 June, 2005
Author: Mike
To you, brother, I leave my lungs.
Though I have stopped breating, know
That I wish you never to suffer
The pain I've been through.
To you, sister, I leave my eyes.
Though I see nothing but darkness now,
Know that I wish you never to set
Youe eyes upon the fearsome sights I've seen.
To you, mother, I leave my body.
Though I can move no longer, know
That I wish you never to feel the
Need to slice open your skin.
And finally, to you father, I leave my heart.
Though it has stopped beating,
Though it is battered, bruised, torn,
Know that I DO wish you to feel the
Pain you've put me through tenfold.
I make this my last will and testament.
I am of sound mind and body.
Enjoy your gifts.

And so that they won't have to endure the same pain and suffering that you've dealt with. The very last line is what caught my eye too----enjoy your gifts. Mike, I tell you, you are really creative and descriptive. You never fail. In every poem you write, it makes me wanna read it over again! LOVELY Mike! |

barb (209.112.24.86) -- Friday, June 24 2005, 04:31 pm Very good expressing your feelings, the best part was the way you said to father you leave your heart to feel the pain. the best punishment is to feel what they inflicted. Keep writing asnd sharing Mike. LIKED IT ALOT. |
