what is a poet?
a poet feels and speaks words from the heart
they cain be true
they cain write for you
they cain play games with your heart

they cain write to reach your soul
they cain write to touch your heart
or they cain write and read
poetry to satisfy needs of their own
they want to be read and heard
with out comin' outside

they want to feel the same thing
that you read
and what you have to say

a poet has many emotions
we all write differently
some of us expose more than others
but just cause one doesn't share the deepest
doesn't make them different
we all differ but share and expose
our hearts in different ways

good and bad were all human
we feel the roar of the world at our feet
be it spiritual or a demonic force
we all feel the passions we share
some hold some things personal and share with only that one special someone

some of us hide, some of us deny
from what is there
not our emotions but our love
as for me i expose the woman i am
take me and love me as i am
or leave me as i was

which one am i?
i am the one whom
at one time was very shy
and broke out of my shell and
i share way too much
i am the one whom shares every chapter of her life

i am the one whom exposes her her heart
i am the one with the heart of a child
iam the one whom has trouble understandin' a simple life

i'm the one innocent enough
to believe every word that is said
i am the one whom would never
bring harm nor shatter your heart

i am the one willin' to love you till the end
i am the one willin' to change
i'm the one with the transparent heart
i've nothin' to hide
the only man i ever loved died

i am the one whom you woke up
from a sound sleep deep inside
i am the one whom fell in love with you

i am the one whom continues to believe
in all you say to me
even when our meetings get changed
i continue to be the one
whom sits here waitin' for you

i am the one
whom will always
share a word, a moment
that is honest and true
with and only you
because baby i love you!

you understand people good write
I am the type that writes my thoughts, keeping somethings sacred and only telling one I know I can trust which took me years. some things are left better unsaid. Good writing Terrie.

'Aye Doll,yea ya cain always read what is in ones heart, somethings are definently better left unsaid, only one person will understand.
Jeremy, i believe you are one whom reaches deep into our hearts and soul ,and touches us all with your spirit and we always leave whole(sorry the native american in me made me write that) i believe you are alot like me..your honest in what you share ,your innocent heart trusts and believes as your heart does..God Bless you both and i thank you both for your honest comments.
