Artist Without The Paintbrush

Painting of vibrant colours
Hangs on the wall.
Gold framed, engraved,
With words that can no longer be heard.
Painted with care.
Painted with emotional love.
Looking out the window
I see another world.
Only, the rain pours down from above.
The vibrancy merges, runs into one.
This great world washes away,
And disappears,
A blank canvas is revealed.
The paints are never touched.
A blank white canvas,
Gold framed,
Hangs on the wall.
As the world cannot be painted for us to see any more.

Meridian (64.12.116.197) -- Saturday, July 9 2005, 06:54 pm Artwork! Yes! The two paintings, I presume. Paintings that are symbolic of a happy life and a sad life. As usual, I could be wrong. But nice comparison A.I.T. Your work is so colorful! |
Angel in Tears (86.135.145.216) -- Tuesday, July 12 2005, 09:04 am Well two paintings in a way,the happy and sad,but I wrote in the intention of the world in the painting and how we see it,and how the world of the inner painting sees us.They can't have a painting of our world as it's just to messed up,too crul to paint. My idea was based on the book "Sofias World" by Jostein Gaarder.Glad you liked the poem, and thank you for commenting! |
