Unfinished Thoughts
11 July, 2005

I look out at a blackened sky
The darkness of the night
A slight orange glow is rising
The day is dawning right
I look back upon all my mistakes
The things that could have been done right
As I look upon what happened
Downright grief fills me despite
Despite the truth
It was not my fault,
But watching a person die like that
Is more powerful than its mold
A life was lost
And sadness gained,
But because of a few beers
It is such a shame.
