You’ll Never Know
11 July, 2005
Author: Charmaine
Don’t be too nice to me
I don’t want to fall for you
I stand before you with unyielding feelings
I swore to never love again
But your loving gestures
And words of affection and care
Is slowly melting this heart of mine
Slowly injecting love and warmth within
I refuse to succumb
I don’t want to surrender
My pride my dignity
They refuse to give way
Keep your distance
Stop wasting your time
I might fall for you
But you’ll never know
