You Can Do It

I used to spend hours on this site
wondering if my thoughts were even right
I read about how others know how I feel
I read about the suffering and what was real
I read that when I cut myself I wasn't always alone
I read others had huge problems in their home
I read how people cried the same tears as I do
I learned that it wasn't only me it was also you
I have saved many of the poems from here
It helped me stay on track and get me back in gear
You see at one time I thought I was messed in the head
But i learned that others still hide under their bed
I thought I was alone and I started to fall hard
My mom only wanted me home when I had to mow the yard
My dad gave up on me and said I wouldn't amount to shit
and all my other peers treated me like spit
I had a couple nights where I almost died
but I only got sick to my stomache while i layed on the floor and cried
But I learned one thing and it taught me well
That you brain controls you and puts you under a spell
You see you can make it, You don't need anyone if you got yourself
You can control your brain and bring yourself good health
See now I don't wanna die, I can't wait to live my time
I'm trying to make a point to you as I write this rhyme
I know how you feel and I really care
from now on don't look down when others start to stare
don't be alone because I'm here with you
Please re-read this poem if you don't believe that's true
see now I spend hours reading how you feel
Knowing you can change it to something very real
you have the power in you to catch yourself before you start to fall
Know matter if you have nothing or you have it all
See I know you can do it because I have achieved
But I couldn't of done it if you didn't believe
So I want to say thanks and tell you once again I care
See you and I together we're a perfect pair
If you need to talk just get in touch with me
and I will show you the bright side and finially help you see
but next time when you feel the urge to always want to die
always tell yourself you can't because Nicole told you to try!

I hope you understand that you guys have helped me out a lot. I used to be a cutter and I would do anything to die but knowing you guys are out there and you know what I feel like. It gives me the strength... You're not alone |
