i hear the whispers
behind my back,sayin'
Love made a fool out of me..

i reach deep into my heart
as i look up towards the sky

i hear God say
child, do you have doubt?
NO, Lord i do not
yet at one time
i confess i did an awful lot

the whispers that cry out
whisper things that are not true
this man known by so many
would never play with
your lonely widowed heart
and make a fool of you
cause he loves you and me

his heart is exposed
through his love
that i sent from above
and in the very words that he writes
when he is not bein' held in your arms

i craddle you both
and keep your love exposed to reality
that LOVE belongs to you and him

My Lord asks me..
do you have faith ?
yes Lord , i do..

he asks me,would you still love him
if he had nothin' else to give
but the love from his heart?
oh yes Lord
i'd love him even more

he asks, my child do you believe and love me ?
Oh yes Lord
with all my heart..

he asks ,do you also believe and love him?
Oh yes Lord
with all my heart

did you gain spiritual growth?
yes i do Lord
do you now ignore what the whispers say?
oh yes Lord

he asks, have you ever asked me for love in prayer?
i say YES Lord , silently for almost 14 years
he asks , did i not answer your prayer?
oh yes Lord,2 years ago

he asks me,
so then my child what seems to be the problem?
is his heart not true?
oh yes it is so very true
and i sooo want to thank you

i say, Lord i am a sinner ,
i have so much to confess
i have dishonored the very heart
that you have given to me
by not communicatin'
as i should have been

he Is my strength in my weakness
yet i did not see

i felt alone
when i felt that his heart
had no time for me
i failed to realize
all of his time was what he had given to me
when he gave me his love
more than any one heart cain hold

i felt him accept
my apology
when i heard him say

"Terrie I LOVE YOU"
