Cherish My Love
19 July, 2005
Author: PoisonIvy
You lay there and smiled
at me with pride.
I knew what your were thinking
as you lay by my side.
Your eyes glowed within
a beautiful hue.
I knew right then
what you were going to do.
Then you took my hand
and held it tight.
I tried so hard to run
with all my might.
You stared into my eyes and said
I love you so much dear.
Please don't run
this time in fear.
Then you told me
you wanted me to be your wife.
To cherish my love
the rest of your life.
I said I would marry you
one day soon.
Just give our love
time to bloom.
You said you'd wait
until that day.
Just cherish my love
for it's here to stay.
