Guardian Of Light

The skin on her arms are scarred,
The light in her eyes is gone.
her heart darkened by heartache,
In the light of the early dawn.
Her sword is drawn and ready,
To take on her dangerous foes.
Standing tall and steady,
No one knows of her woes.
No one knows that she cries,
late into the night.
her life being all lies,
And yet she tries to do right.
She hunts the shadows,
We fear the most.
The ones that creep through,
But she's not one to boast.
So think of her as you drift off to sleep.
pray to her, your soul to keep.
She hunts the things that go bump in the night.
She is the guardian, the keeper of light.
