There Are Kings & Queens, But Only One Princess Moon

See My Smile In The Moon-Light
You have see the sun rise and fall many times, seen
Silver star-light ride on Moon Beams and touch your heart
Tonight once again, you see an old friend as he smiles
Upon your loving heart and tonight all alone,
You remember a friend, gone with the winds of time
You remember when you were fifteen and the world was
Full of dreams, you found a friend that dreamed as you still do
Warm eyes filled with tears, they fall over her soft heart
Seen the years go by, when you were fifteen and saw the moon
Give up to you, all of your dreams served to you upon silver star-light
Grand children now, play at your feet still, you remember being fifteen
Yes, your day will come and today is yours, as you remember
Someone you never met, wrote a poem for you. Something about
A private place high above, dark yet, filled with blinking eyes
And a smile as big as the moon looking into my heart, I remember
We never met, yet, we shared a view of each other's heart's few will ever see
My, that was a long time ago, like the blink of a star, it takes millions of years
Before it ever reached his heart and mine, still we shared the moon-light
And the passing of time. My Life is rich with memories of this friend of mine
We never met, but shared dreams carried on moon-beams, guided by silver star-light
Like a laser beam aimed into our hearts and stored as memories, I remember him
He was and is a friend of mine, I see him winking at me in the moon-light as the stars
Whisper to my heart, your friend is still with you, see me as I smile at you, I am the moon
------- Author's Notes -------
When you are eighty-five look at the moon, and see my smile is still alive, for you. |

Princess Moon (65.150.18.130) -- Tuesday, August 2 2005, 01:10 am Wow Martin...that poem was very intimate and so lovely when I read it, I felt like crying. It was one of the most beautiful poems I've ever read and I love every sentence...every word. It'll be another gem for my treasure hold...thank you.. |
