Times Role Passed

At the start you were there,
Coronation Street had just begun,
You watched me grow through good and bad,
In your hugs I received such love,
Through your words I received strength,
I love you Gran, you know how much?
As I grew you were always my home,
In times of trouble I ran to you,
You always knew just what to say,
To turn my tears into those of joy,
I love you Gran you know how much?
I remember games of scrabble,
That you let me win,
Jigsaw puzzles I thought a bore,
Dinners with you were always the best,
In your company I felt so safe,
I love you gran, you know how much?
Gran,
I Love you Up to The Sky and Back,
Now it’s my daughter I tell that,
Loved by many you always are,
Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and many more,
Up to The Sky and Back I’ll love you more,
I miss you Gran and love you more,

I'm a grandma and hope my grandkids feel this way. you must be a nice person to appreciate your kids and your grandmother. So refreshing to see someone say nice positive things. thank-you for the read. |
Terrie* (66.81.139.206) -- Sunday, August 14 2005, 10:13 pm Clive, your heart is rare, so full of love, how a man's heart expresses and pours his feelings says a lot about the love he gives. many always let us know that they are tough macho ,and caint be broke down, but the humble do not fear showin' the tender soft side we want to see and feel.. always a pleasure to touch and read your heart, your granny was indeed a lovely woman..now your daughter Amy, carries your heart within her own ..lovely words my friend..such a lovely thought" to the sky and back A-gain" |
barb (216.123.57.85) -- Sunday, August 14 2005, 11:40 pm I'm sure like what Terrie says they are good people, but from your writing you seem to be the type that even if they weren't nice you would find the good and still find them warm and worth your caring. |
