Cold Shadows
17 August, 2005
Author: RubyDragon
Inside me is a feeling of terror, that I have not felt for a long time
gripping my soul with a cold feeling of fear,
my heart beats it's last beat for the moment as I start to cry,
finally after so long I feel the shadows approaching, so near,
I take back every wrong word as I cause more grief,
no one will ever satisfy you the way I could,
but I let you in and you let me go, nothing left,
I'm a lost angel wandering a cold dark wood,
My love is true but I find your is not, no suprise
if only you would open your eyes and see the truth,
I am not the one that is full of emotional lies
will you ever see the real me, the one who loves you.
But now you'll have to wait as the shadows take my life
once again laid here to die young and alone in pain,
the wind swiftly takes my spirit from this corpse
it's not too late to lose me, scream before the moonlight disappears again,
Scream my name to the wind, and I shall return
as I lay in black I'll haunt your dreams and show this world of mine,
A world of no pain and fear created from a lonely tear,
where the moon and stars always shine,
I am not a fraud and can be everything you need.
Until then I will lay numb and bleed.
