An Angel's Spirit Flies Home
19 August, 2005
Author: Terrie*
a life was lost
a life was reborn
your spirit flies home
To the heavens above
your spirit lives on
in the many heart's you have touched
some of us had the opportunity
to know you as a friend
some of us had the chance
to see the soft side of your heart
That you kept well hid safely inside
in many ways we are all alike
in many ways we become a part
of one heart
our tears fall quickly
when one of our kind departs
a lil' bit of you stays behind
in the many souls you touched,
while you were passing through
In this life, on your way home
the star’s shine brighter tonight
the heavens share a teardrop
Disguised as a light mist of rain
as an angel gets her wings
drifting upon a cloud passing by
these last tears that we share, may seem like a few
Never are you forgotten, we will always remember you
We see you sitting in the little corner of yours
As your spirit makes a visit, To touch the many souls you’ve tended to
we all reminisce and grief in our own way,
and are reminded that life is too short
When we don’t get to share what we want to say,
shortly before, until a life is taken away
We remind You,
As you leave this life that you once knew
you were never alone
And never alone will you be
we stand watch, as you fly safely home
You will be missed
