I've been hurt, I've loved and lost,
I've gave my heart and paid the cost.
I thought she was happy but she lied,
so many nights alone I've cried.

People tell me I'll be okay,
that I must look for a brighter day.
But silently my heart it breaks,
as once again my love she takes.

I want you back, words she doesn't comprehend,
the lady who was once my lover, just wants to be my friend.
I need you, words I cannot say,
as like a bird she flies away.

I must fight back I am told,
try and accept I've no one to hold.
Plenty of others are out there,
but she is the one for whom I care.

I still love you, she says to me,
if only my dreams could come reality.
But she's moved on, so I hear,
as my mind fills with her, I shed a tear.

Put your guard up people say,
but she was the one who took it away.
Each day I hate as we're apart,
just thinking of her IT BREAKS MY HEART!!!
