Always Says Sorry
21 August, 2005
Author: Devilyangelic
You look at me like I've got no heart,
but you don't know how you've tore me apart.
Convinced that I must never get hurt,
so you continue to treat me like dirt.
But my heart you leave bruised time and again,
who told you that I get a kick out of pain?
They lied and I just wish you could see,
just what it is that you're doing to me?
Maybe then you'd desist and try to love me once more,
or try to see what it is at my core?
But you're too wrapped in others to see,
that in your chains of hurt I long to be set free.
You leave me empty, abandoned and alone,
with no iota as to which way's home?
Love was all I needed but it's too much to ask,
as I'm told that I am not such an easy task.
Crack after crack in my heart you alone have created,
you try to say sorry but it's so belated.
Why can't you love me like you do so many?
but it's taking you forever to espy the dropped penny.
So where do I go, which way do I turn?
when everywhere I look, pain begins to burn.
Deep in my soul as I seek a different kind of sanctuary,
the kind where I'm not the one in the wrong but who ALWAYS SAYS SORRY!!!
