Hold My Hand by Devilyangelic

I've been low and by love betrayed,
thought I'd found true love but then she strayed.
Sunk so low I never thought I'd see the top again,
found myself drowning in my own torrential pain.

But something had a hold of me,
as with one swoop I was given back my dignity.
Arms that weren't there I felt them hold me,
the strength I failed to find would now enfold me.

Just me in the room but I sensed a prescence there,
visualised being held as they stroked my hair.
My lowest point, yet in their arms they let me soar,
finding myself questioning what am I here for?

Sobbing til I at last succumbed to slumber,
clasping their hands as they saved me from going under.
Walking a step behind them in my dreams,
as they showed the way to the sunbeams.

I know what it is to be saved from falling,
as in my mind I heard them calling.
They whisper you'll be okay and I know they are correct,
as their wings wrap around me and promise to protect.

So I don't run from their strength anymore,
for I know they'll be with me wherever I may go.
Guiding me through life and filling my hourglass with more sand,
I walk alongside these angelic beings as they HOLD MY HAND!

whey ta very much like!
whey hallow there meridian!!! just wanted to thank you for your comment on me poem - a have read a canny few of the poems on this site and a must say that a was totally blown away by some of them - a don't deem mesel anywhere near as good as this lot but a do write from the heart and have been doing it a canny while so anyway thanx for reading me piece - this one's close to me heart as it's made me feel so much better about things!! take very good care and thanx again hun
