Him
23 January, 2004
Author: Crimson Angel
He follows me the distance
He waits for me to appear
He lingers within the shadows
My guardian, he is to hear
I savor his appearance
He whispers in my ear
Soft words of true protection
As my arms tend to keep him near
Forgetting all around me
I seem to drift into a world all my own
Within his gentle and caring embrace
All I need is him, my home
One day, betrayal was at hand
Trust seemed worn down to a string
Our last words spoke of bitter hate
And I left, throwing down the ring
Simply a week later
One couldn’t guess
I got a call from a friend
About his funeral none the less
Silence consumes any voice
Needed to speak any of new
But no matter what have been spoken
I did love my protector, true

Crimson Angel (209.175.72.252) -- Thursday, March 11 2004, 08:19 pm Thank you. =) I'm glad you like it. In a way, the poem was deticated to both me and a friend, for the exact same situation happened to the both of us, just as in this poem. I'm happy that people are enlightened by the poem and I enjoyed reading your comment. |
