Daddy Loves You!
25 August, 2005
Author: Holly A. Badolato
When I was just a baby,
You held me in your hand.
I looked at you with big blue eyes,
I thought you were so great.
But you were young and so afraid,
You didn't know what to do.
You held me close to you,
And you made this promise to me.
"No matter what may happen,
I'll take care of you.
No matter where you go,
I will be there too.
No matter what you say,
No matter what you do,
Always remember "DADDY LOVES YOU!"
When I was just a toddler,
I'd fall and scrape my knee.
It hurt so bad,
It made me cry,
And I came running to you.
You kissed the hurt,
And made it well,
As daddy's often do.
And as you wiped my tears away,
You said these words to me.
"No matter what may happen,
I'll take care of you.
No matter where you go,
I will be there too.
No matter what you say,
No matter what you do,
Always remember "DADDY LOVES YOU!"
Now I'm alittle older
And we don't get along
No matter what you say or do
Seems daddy's always wrong
But as I go on with my life
I Remember what you promised me.
"No matter what may happen,
I'll take care of you.
No matter where you go,
I will be there too.
No matter what you say,
No matter what you do,
Always remember "DADDY LOVES YOU!"
Now I may forget,
All the things you tried to teach me.
But I will always remember,
DADDY LOVES Me, CAUSE YOU DO!!
