The depths of despair make an attempt to claim,
this part of me that love threatened to maim.
Taking away the mate with whom my soul would play,
walking from me though I implore it to stay.

Heartaches clutches make a play for my most vulnerable part,
tapping and chipping their way through my heart.
Leaving it bruised time after time,
as I pay the price for yet anothers crime.

Tearsworld beckons me to emigrate,
in the belief that my life it can dominate.
But I'm too strong to be bound by its ways,
as I make my way into the brightest of sunrays.

Out of my mind invites me to come along,
but I politely refuse as I know that's not my song.
For no part of me is permitted to be taken,
as I recognise my own strength in the making.

Lowest ebb threatens to pull me down,
guaranteeing me the ability to frown.
More and more pressure upon me it's piling,
but I'm having too much fun merely smiling.

Love in the faintest of whispers beckons to me,
vowing that when I'm ready it will always be.
Waiting patiently for the day I'm ready to fall,
which could be anytime soon now that I've SALVAGED THIS SOUL!!!
