Sunbeams shine down on me,
as at last my spirit's set free.
Coming alive now as it's been so long,
moving past my pain as I play a new song.

Beads of light upon me now shone,
as all my fears and pain are gone.
Doors I deemed locked now open without a key,
tokens that took a knock now make a better me.

Limelight gently beckons me to come forth,
I know that from here the only way is North.
More and more I grow in my own time,
abandoning my fears as higher I climb.

Rays of light now flash in my space,
filling my with their warmth as they touch my face.
No more living alone in the darkness,
as I let it dim my colours less and less.

Shining now without even trying,
fears that I held fastly dying.
Ready to love all that makes me,
avid to learn just all I can be.

Twinkling in this vast world of sky,
as with these wings I learn to fly.
Catching myself smiling as a new song my heart sings,
preparing to soar with these MENDED WINGS!!!
