Angel In Chains

An angelic being,
before me I'm seeing.
Bound by the trust with which she was born,
those were the days when away from her pain she'd flown.
Soaring so high,
as she etched the sky.
Growing from her times of doubt,
had given her the courage to spread her wings out.
Courage it seems would fail her now,
for she did not have a clue as to how.
She could escape these chains that bind her,
if only she could have a quick reminder?
Of the way she'd handled this pain before,
but she had forgotten just how to soar?
Standing on the edge gazing way up high,
craving to be taught so that once more she could fly.
On her tippytoes patiently she waited,
but the weight upon her wings failed her becoming elevated.
The burdens she held would keep her behind,
so slowly one by one she starts to unwind.
Discarding all of the others battles that she'd fought,
the endless times she'd been left distraught.
After some time she outsheds every one of their pains,
nothing to hold her down as no more is this ANGEL IN CHAINS!?!
