If life were to be simple
As to meet a love so true
Don't you think it would be perfect
To have a me and you.
If the world wasn't so big
You half a world away
Wouldn't it be so lovley
To awaken together, start each new day.
If dreams became reality
And nightmares never became
We'd stay in love forever
Kissing, dancing in the rain.
But since there's war and poverty
No fairness or equality
We must stick to dreams and fantasy
Always thinking "if only.....".
