I'm Doing Fine

Sometimes I wonder about so many things, I feel so old, I feel so young
I wonder sometimes, why I feel at all, I'm so old and so young
I've seen the seasons come and go, more times than I can remember
I remember the snow, a playground for the young at heart growing old
I see my dad, help me into my sled and with a push of love, he sends
Me along my way, he knows, I have a long way to go, still its fun
I love it when my dad gives me a push, away I go, then today
I realize dad & mom are gone, snow fell today God, I miss mom & dad
Dad pushed me with love down the hill and I survived now, its time
I climb back up the hill, to mom & dad, but this time, I wave good-bye
I can take this hill without help, but Dad I thank you, for the push
Tell Mom, I'm doing fine, made it down the hill, by myself, I'm doing fine
I'm Doing Fine

Meridian (64.12.116.197) -- Wednesday, September 7 2005, 10:28 pm So sweet... Remembering back when and reflecting on times long gone. It's good to know that you're doing well though. Sorry you lost your parents. You never know the voidness until someone's far away, or deceased; no matter how they may get on your nerves. When I say (you) I'm just speaking in general MV! Sorry to digress, but splendid poem! |
Martin Vann (4.253.67.100) -- Thursday, September 8 2005, 06:54 pm The loss of those you love, keep coming back. No, not to haunt, just to let you know, the love is still there for all of us. No heart is ever lost, it just seems to speak to us, in a more quiet voice. No, love is never lost. |
