Better Place Somewhere
7 September, 2005
Author: Devilyangelic
The gentlest tugging I can feel,
as in the shadows of the night I sense a presence steal.
The pain and heartache that threatened my heart to crack,
but I do not flinch as they fail to knock me back.
The purity in my soul will never subside,
as my honest nature will forever guide.
Where I'm to go when I'm unsure where to turn,
I don't fear not understanding what I'm yet to learn.
The openess of my mind that I possess,
will pull me through times of doubt and stress.
So I won't fear what I fail to comprehend,
as I know in my heart that love's still my friend.
Courage I once lacked I realise has now found me,
as I walk towards it allowing its strength to surround me.
Gallant and avid to battle each bad episode,
as the ship of pain sets sail and disappears with my burdened load.
Leaving me to walk away from my heartbreaking spent youth,
as I go it alone in search of my hearts truth.
Breaking free from these chains that bind me,
as on my own quest I venture to find me.
Embracing the life that I've always known,
but I know it's time that I flown.
Away from the dread, rejection and despair,
for in my heart I believe there's a BETTER PLACE SOMEWHERE?!?
