Know The Night

When you're walking down an alley and nothing seems right
And you left your gun at home would they really pick tonight?
Now someone is behind you so you pick up your pace
And you're hoping and you're praying that you'll make it out this place
Now you're dropping what you carry and you bust into a run
Until you're shot up in your back it seems he had a gun
Now Sherry got her baby and she hit the ATM
There's a mugger in the shadows and his face is very dim
Now Sherry doesn't notice as she pulls out all her cash
A hallowpoint goes off, it happened in a flash
Her daughter saw her mother die, she didn't know just how to cry
Now she's in shock and her mother is up in the sky
It's a shame we lock our doors and gotta stay strapped
Our chances keep on growing that we're gonna get capped
