Tonight I called your heart praying it to respond,
I wanted to tell you that I sense a bond.
Forming between us whilst I wait for you to speak,
slipping into my minds eye for a little deek.

Once there I see your smile so sweet,
refusing to hang up as I don't want to admit defeat.
Praying that this time there'll be a reply,
simple words become incomprehendable such as bye.

In my mind rings your warm laughter so clear,
the most beautiful sound that I've been blessed to hear.
A voice breaks me away from my vision leaving me dizzy,
as I'm told by a stranger that your heart is busy.

Within milliseconds redial is pressed,
as I've waited long enough it's time I confessed.
Just how much you're on my mind,
as I daydream of us laying entwined.

Imagining what it'd feel like to kiss your smile,
so for the twelvteenth time I press redial.
Afraid to hang up as maybe one of these days I'll get through,
the way you're making me feel if only you knew?

"this line is busy", by a stranger I am told,
I've waited all my life for you, I don't mind having to hold.
If it were possible you I would have paged,
but for now I guess our HEARTS REMAIN ENGAGED!!
