Future To Mould
8 September, 2005
Author: Devilyangelic
Innocence lost in just a heartbeat,
as disappointment forced me to stand on my own two feet.
No longer found comfort in going out to play,
as pain and heartache came to stay.
Naivety stolen by the one I gave my trust too,
though wisdom wasn't on my side I knew what I must do.
Seeking solace in the playground,
but this would be the last place it could be found.
Purity abandoned as for the first time I saw,
neither of them loved me anymore.
Strawberry medicine wouldn't take this kind of hurt away,
as my colouring in book faded to grey.
Sweetness buried as betrayal came to call,
leaving my too scared to fall.
Germalene would never heal this graze,
as pain like this would become more than just a phase.
Childish pleas would be lost with my youth,
as I learnt to face the truth.
Reading Topsy and Tim would not stop me to see,
just how nasty some people can be.
Adolescent ways would now be left behind,
as the good with the bad I learnt to bind.
So I leave at the back of my mind my days of old,
knowing that no other way can benefit my FUTURE TO MOULD!!
