Once a broken down soul,
as for true love I paid the toll.
Gave all that I had though I'd so little to give,
found myself sad as her love for me slipped through her hands like they were a sieve.

Leaving me drained as my soul began to fade,
the love that we'd shared now retreated to the shade.
A gaping hole in my heart where she used to be,
now that she'd gone I was merely half of me.

Crumbling away piece by piece,
unsure when the pain inside of me would decease?
Tears just flowed from these pretty green eyes,
as finally I seperated her truth from her lies.

Clueless to the answer for my hurt to disappear,
or what to do to suppress each lonely tear?
Found myself in search of answers why she needed anothers touch?
when with all of my heart I loved her so much?

So I rebuilt my torn soul from scratch,
as the hole in my heart I tried my best to patch.
Nurturing the tokens that she'd shot to pieces,
in the hope that one day all this pain ceases.

Tonight I shed these lonesome tears,
as matters come to my head after all these years.
I realise now the only way for me to be,
all that I can is to be TRUE TO ME!!!
