Just Walking Down An Old Dirt Road
9 September, 2005

Got my work done, so I went for a walk, down an old dirt road
Saw the river flow going to who knows where, saw butterflies
Dancing across the field, saw a hawk fly over head, felt the wind blow
The sun placed her hands, gently, upon my face on this old dirt road
Like a mother to her child, she held my face in her hands and smiled
I felt the touch of love, as I walked down an old dirt road, saw Grand-Ma
In the kitchen, Grand-Pa by her side, kidding, saying, I'm gonna get-cha
Saw my first child born as butterflies flew in the field, on wings of tenderness
Got my work done, so I went for a walk, down an old dirt road
Saw the river flow going to who knows where, saw butterflies
Dancing across the field, saw a hawk fly over head, felt the wind blow
The sun placed her hands, gently, upon my face on this old dirt road
