All The Chances In The World
10 September, 2005
Author: Kerrbear
Do you know I’m blind
To what you do to me
You’re perfect in every aspect
I love the way you are
My friends tell me
To get rid of you
But I could never do that
Without you there would be no me
You lie to me all the time
But I know you never mean to
I would give you all the chances
In the world to stay with you
I’m told that I’ve already given you
All the chances you need
But why doesn’t anyone see
Everything I see in you?
You’ve always been right there
Even when I was angry and distraught
I know you’re the cause of those feelings
But I can’t admit it to anyone
Maybe I like those feelings
Since you’re the one who makes me feel them
Deep inside my heart
I know you’re bad for me
Of all the years I’ve spent with you
The bad ones are hiding deep under my skin
Only the good years rise to the surface
Why is it just you and I that can see them?
They say you’re ruining my life
But how can it be called a life
If I can’t live it without you
And you say you can’t live it without me
You can live it with other girls
I’ve seen that for myself
I choose to ignore it though
Because that truth would tear me to pieces
So I guess I’ll go on giving you
All the chances it takes
For people to see you as I do
Even if it takes the rest of my life
