An Angels Embrace
13 September, 2005
Author: Terrie*
When you and I travel these many traveled
and un-traveled roads
We keep our hearts and eyes open
We pray ,that not one body
Will we find in the middle of the median
or anywhere unexpected
Mangled, bloodied and no life left
Not playing God
We try our most and our all
From the deepest part of our hearts soul
As we feel the victim's spirit look down to us
Wonderin’ if they are dead
We all pray silently
as we count in code
Pushin’ in a breath
Listenin’ for one to come out
All that we pray for
the far most plea
after we beg to bring them back
is please no sound of crackin’ ribs
Just let us hear a strong heartbeat
and the sound of their breath
Tears will always be a part of our life’s
As they fill in our chest cavity
and drown our heart
an area that no one will ever see
even when family and friends see us as hero’s
To take a break from such heartfelt emotions
Is difficult to do
Cause deep in our hearts
we know ,that is what we do
We caint just walk away
Because another life
will bring us back once again
on another unexpected given day
The feelin’ is great when we are placed in such a path
Only ,when we are able to bring them back
The difficult part is
When someone dies in your arms
And they reach out with their hand
to wipe a tear from your eye
The only comfort we see,
the only comfort we find
Is placin’ them into Gods lovin’ arms
When we see a smile that glows from their heart
After an angel embraced them
and welcomed them home
------- Author's Notes -------
recently over the weekend, a friend and i went to scatter some ashes of another friend, at a quiet fishin' spot, we encountered, a crowd of fisher's, non knew what to do, one life was lost one life was spared, Please take a C.P.R class for adults, children and babies, it is worth the time and the expense, we all pray never to use it, but... the next victim you save, may be your own flesh. |
