Just You And I
16 September, 2005

vinebar

here we are
just you and i
and the stars that shine from your eyes

the end of summer is now here
time to start all fresh
as another season says good-bye

will the sun shine on me?
when it shines on you
from the opposite side of the world?

i know it will
cause i'll feel the warm smile
that you shared from your heart
when you were close by

never too far
cain two hearts be
of friendships shared

i'll always have fond thoughts of you
i hope you'll have the same of me

the end of summer
has come to an end
the beginnin' of fall and every season
that comes in between

i will look out my window, focus my vision
way up in the sky, for your smile
durin' the middle of the night

i'll catch a glimpse of the starlights
and the moon gazin, winkin' and smilin' back at me

as i welcome you back time and time a-gain
in the fall, winter and in the spring

the end of summer
but not of you and i
it is just the beginnin'
of another season to share friendship from afar
