Broken-down Wings
19 September, 2005
Author: Devilyangelic
Wings now broken,
as I hear cold words spoken.
Wordlessly I cry,
as it hits me I can't fly.
Away from my pain,
so I drown in this rain.
Craving light and to be elevated from here,
but I see only darkness near.
Deep within me somewhere,
I feel my soul begin to tear.
Creating distance from my heart,
try as I might I can't stop them falling apart.
I beg I plead but still they untwine,
leaving me with nothing to call mine.
Angels where are you when I need you most,
why must I feel like that of a ghost?
Merely a shadow of who I used to be,
lost in this cruel world won't someone find me?
Touch my life as I need a hand,
love me a little for I don't understand.
Just why I'm destined to always lose,
or be left to deal with something I did not choose?
In my life I've lost so many things,
still I live in hope one day I'll fly with these BROKEN-DOWN WINGS?!?!
