Turning

Author: ShyHeart
How many times, have you followed, the rays of the sun-light
Only to find, its shadow cast upon your heart, so you keep turning
Looking for the promise of the warmth of the true sun-light, turning
Once again, you seek the warmth of the sun-light, only to find its shadow
You know, the warmth is there, its locked somewhere in your heart
Shadows seem to cover every dream, from rainbows to a kiss, never felt
Still young enough, to carry on the search for the sun without shadows
You feel the warmth of the sun's ray all over you, still you are alone
You keep turning over and over and seek, the warmth of the sun
You see rainbows, but only, your tears fall, each one is a bruise upon your heart
Love is fragile, it can't take the burn of sun-light, all you seek is its warmth
You have no desire to burn up the world, with an empty heart, seeking warmth
Carry on, keep turning, bake your heart beneath the flame of your love for love
One day, there will be a ray that comes all over you, your dream will come true
With a smile from a shadow, love will touch what was meant to be, A ray of love
Is now, all over you, children play and cry, Hey mom look at me
How many times has your heart turned, to have what you have? Too many
Times, but you let your heart follow the sun's ray, now it burns in your heart
Hey, Mom, come and play with us and close your eyes, your heart is full
See, your babies playing in the sun, before your heart, that kept turning
