Empty Nest

Author: Terrie*
two yearlings and a mama eagle
Sharin’ the closeness, as they have grown
A love of three so equal
surrounded with a life full of love, that they’ve always known
Tightly in their little comfy humble nest
She visions ,the lil’ darlin’s adventurin’ life
She will always remember how much she'd been blessed
As they too, face the enormous wide open world with pride
Their eyes open wide
as they have always been
Soaring for a better life
Mama’s not worried ‘on that given day, as they begin
She knows that they will survive
miss them , already ,and she will, Like all mama’s do
as she begins to reminisce in how they thrived
Upon all the hardships they have been through
She knows that they will come back
She holds their love loosely yet close to her heart
Love , patience and understandin’ they do not lack
it becomes thicker, when they are apart
As they feel the wind and sun at their back
And the slight breeze in their face
Tears are whom she is, she caint holdback
she holds love for them in her own special place
So proud for whom they’ve become
Braggin’ is a must and will do
Memories are a live album
In her heart that will always accrue

Martin Vann (4.227.98.100) -- Saturday, September 24 2005, 06:52 pm Everyday, a baby eagle takes to the sky, searching for horizons yet, unknown. God's sky, is the eagles way of life, remember, when you began to fly? So, one baby, my fly out of state, don't worry, a mother's nest is never bare. Even if, a few tiny feathers are all that is left. The state of love, will allways, lift your babie's wings and your heart to new horizons. This is one of your BEST! |
