Someone
27 September, 2005
Author: Devilyangelic
I thought I seen you today,
I looked at you and you walked away.
Silently my heart it broke,
when I thought it was you that spoke.
But the mind's an amazing thing and can play tricks on you,
can make you think you've seen what you wanted too.
Confusing looks I was given,
as by a stranger to paranoia I was driven.
Each day I find harder than the one before,
a monotonous struggle to not be low.
One minute I'm fine and getting there,
but a phone call from her takes me back a square.
I'm fighting a battle that can never be won,
when I won't believe all we had is done.
My heart says she loves me, my mind says she lied,
people tell me to let go, don't they know I've tried?
Somehow to carry on, the strength I must find,
forget the memory of our hearts entwined.
Surely it can't be that hard? they all say to me,
but how do you let go of what you knew was your destiny?
Get up and move on, by many I am told,
forget your arms feel empty as you've noone to hold.
What's past is past and what's done is done,
one of these days you'll meet SOMEONE!!!
