Say Sorry Too

I break down when I hear Sweet Caroline,
I truly believe I've reached the end this time.
I raise my hands as I know he has won,
but yet it's me who's did you a wrong?
Please don't hate me for standing by you?
when all I had was the welfare of you two?
Close to my heart, just trying to do the right thing,
but still it's his praises you continue to sing.
When he was the one who tore your dreams apart,
but I get the blame for breaking your heart?
No words can mend the hurt that he's caused,
as it dawns on me that your love for me's been paused.
Will you ever press play for me again?
or for the rest of my life am I to endure this pain?
For something that was not my fault,
is that why your heart's sealed like that of a vault?
It fills me with sadness that our bond has been broken,
my life is in pieces as I scramble to savour a token.
A smile you used to make when I made you laugh,
the frowns you'd pull as it was time for your bath.
We were just daft siblings but I cling to the way we used to be,
as that was the time you looked up to me.
I seen it in your eyes how proud you were we were related,
I was the one who looked out for you and it left me elated.
That you and I share the same blood,
or how we fought just like sisters should.
Yet still my heart bursts with the love I hold for you,
I just wish that like me you could SAY SORRY TOO?!?!
