The Song
29 June, 2003
Author: Crimson Angel
As I walk into the meadow,
The stars shine over me, bright.
I hear a sweet voice,
It caresses the evening light.
A sweet song of the wind, I hear,
As I lay my head on the ground.
I gaze up at the sky, listening to the voice,
The song echos all around.
It lasts for eternity,
An enchanting song of the night.
The song sang by a maiden,
A white figure wandering within the light.
Her wings fan out mejestically,
With purity untold by man.
A faded white gown drapes over her,
With silk hair, like waves upon the sand.
Her voice is like the heavens,
The beauty within her, untold.
As that voice begins to fade away,
Sunrise appears, beyond the cold.
But every night, I do the same,
And walk into the the sweet cold of the night.
Where I hear that fare maiden's wonderful song,
Only made for the soul's sight.

Crimson Angel (67.162.95.179) -- Monday, March 29 2004, 11:11 pm Thank you. I was relating it to a night I sat out in an open field, and listening to nature. I was actually quite pleased with the scene and didn't really want to leave, but instead, I wrote this to remind me of that night. Thank you very much for the comment. |
