My Own World.
29 September, 2005
Author: Emma-Louise
I created my own world inside my mind,
I’m so lost in my imagination that the real world is left behind.
That’s how I’ve designed it, that’s what I planned..
When you see my eyes cloud over; I’m lost in my dreamland.
But every corner I turn in there is like a ticking bomb,
A whole sequel of memories I can’t escape from.
My mind automatically takes pictures of important moments I’ve met,
Some that make me smile inside and some I wish I could forget.
I’m a dreamer - when I’m asleep and whilst I’m awake,
Dreaming of a life where I’d be free from stress and heartache.
Or constantly thinking and dwelling on one particular thing,
Wishing someone would shelter me with their wing.
This world I created is what keeps me so secretive,
My thoughts, my dreams, my feelings you all wish for me to give.
The only person who can easily knock down this cavern,
Doesn’t know how to use this power he’s been given.
So you see, my mind will always act like a locked door to you,
Only I can fall into my darkest feelings, the ones you wish you knew.
You will never know the things that crawl and scream within,
This may be negative to you but it’s designed not to let you in.
