Soar Like A Bird

Author: Devilyangelic
Tear-stained cheeks,
as once again this heart it seeks.
Why I am bound to feel such pain,
allowing them to hurt me time and again?
Weather-worn heart,
as in silence I try to piece together each jagged part.
That hurt and heartache have etched in me,
leaving just enough self-love to set myself free.
Broken-down soul,
that in time has built up a wall.
Shielding what I once gave without a fight,
proving it's still there but merely out of sight.
Over-tired mind,
that has tried so hard to find.
The reason why I hurt like this,
that along with them caring for me falls into an abyss.
Strong-barren arms,
that yearn to be comforted by soft warm palms.
Touched in the most gentlest caress,
as I'm taken away momentarily from all of this stress.
Tender-angelic wings,
that can no longer cope with the weight of things.
I crave to shed their every word,
as away from this Isle of Pain I SOAR LIKE A BIRD!!!
