Dear Mother

When your nights get lonely
and the road seems weary, and long.
Come, take my hand
for you travel not alone.

When you fall into despair
there seems no way out.
Just look right over your shoulder
I'll be there without a doubt.

And when the night breaks to morn
you feel your heart grow weak.
I will be there right beside you
caressing your gentle cheek.

For when tomorrow starts anew
I hope you know I treasure you.
Because to me there is no other
then a Dear Friend as you Sweet Mother.

------- Author's Notes -------

I wrote this poem to my mother, we do not have what I would call a close relationship. I can't say why, but it is something I am working on within myself, and it's private to my heart. But I have always been there for her everytime she needed me, even when she didn't need me I was there. I love her, and I would do anything in the world for her, after all "She Is My Mother"

Out of all your poems this is one of my favorites. I know you and your mom has had a troubled past but this poem shows how much you truly love her.
